MAACCE Annual Awards

The 2013 deadline for nominations is March 22!

Outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of adult education are recognized each year at MAACCE's spring conference. MAACCE invites its members to submit nominations for special recognition in the following categories. Nominations will be considered based on the standards listed below. Please note: Any award entry that contains more than 200 words will be rejected.

Leadership Award: (One award)

  • Nominee must be a current or recent member of the program's staff
  • Nominees must have leadership experience in the field of adult education in areas such as administration, instruction, and/or assessment
  • Provide specific details about service and leadership in the field of adult education

Teacher / Instructor /Facilitator Award: (Two awards)

  • Nominee must be a current or recent member of the program's staff
  • Nominee must have instructional, advisor/assessor, or other direct student service experience in adult education
  • Provide specific details about the service or development of methods and services

Support Staff Award: (One award)

  • Nominee must be a current or recent member of the program's support staff
  • Provide specific details about the support/service provided to an adult education program

Partner Award: (One award)

  • Nominee must be a community, not-for-profit organization or a business that  currently partners  or recently partnered with an adult education program to provide services to the adult education program
  • Provide specific evidence of support and/or partnership with an adult education program

Volunteer Award: (One award)

  • Nominee must have current or recent service experience with an adult education program
  • Provide specific details about the service provide to and adult education program

Aide/Assistant Instructor Award: (One award)

  • Nominee must be a current or recent member of the program's staff
  • Nominee must have experience as an aide or assistant in an adult education class
  • Provide specific details about the service or development of methods and services
Student Award : (Multiple awards)
  • Nominee must have been enrolled in an adult education program during the current fiscal year
  • Provide specific details about student's achievements and progress toward his/her goal
