From MAACCE President, Cynthia Fischer

Dear MAACCE Members,

Quotes attributed to me in the following article were taken, in both cases, out of context.  I said nothing about "distraction," and the other statement has been distorted.  I did say that I couldn't speak as to why the public schools in Carroll County, or in any county, would no longer handle the adult education grant. I did mention that many county's public school K-12 systems still handle the adult education piece here in Maryland, and that there were many Community Based Organizations that also handled adult education. I deeply regret any appearance of disrespect for any adult education program in Maryland that the comments attributed to me may have caused.

Sincerely,

Cindy
