MAACCE is pleased to be able to offer a variety of scholarships, awards and grants to individuals and organizations working or studying in adult education programs in Maryland. MAACCE members may nominate candidates for any of the following programs. All awards are presented at the spring conference each May. The deadline for nominations for most of these opportunities is March 15. All awards are funded through a portion of MAACCE membership dues and voluntary contributions. Contributions can be mailed at any time to The MAACCE Scholarship Fund, Becky Lessey, Treausurer, 10650 Hickory Ridge Road, Columbia, Maryland, 21044.
Scholarships
$500 each for post secondary students who score 3000 or above on the GED Exam. Awarded annually as funds permit. Click heading for more information, application form and contribution form.
Maryland State Department of Education funded programs may apply for up to $900 per program for student scholarship for high school credentialing, ESOL / ESL / TOEFL / Citizenship instruction, or continuing education classes at a community college or vocational education program. Grants
Teacher / administrator grants of up to $350 are awarded to enable MAACCE members to undertake a special project that will contribute to the advancement of lifelong learning. Awarded annually as funds permit. Click heading for application form
Awards
Outstanding contributions and achievments in the field of adult education are recognized each year at MAACCE's spring conference. Any MAACCE member may nominate candidates for awards. Click heading for more information and application form.
