Attention Adult Education and Family Literacy Providers
It is Scholarship Time!!!
Maryland Association for Adult, Community and Continuing Education
(MAACCE), is soliciting your support for contributions to the Regina
l. Milio Scholarship fund. The fund honors Regina l. Milio, who worked
in the GED office for over 10 years before her untimely death. She
was a special person with a deep commitment to individuals seeking
to better their lives through adult education.
Scholarship awards of $500 are offered to GED recipients with a
3000 or better score to support their education expenses at a post-secondary
education or training institution. The awards are competitive and
are offered to individuals who have attended one of the Maryland
adult education and family literacy programs. These are your students!
And since 2003, when the program began, the fund has awarded 32 scholarships
to deserving GED students. 100% of the funds collected through contributions
are used for student awards.
The program highlights are listed below. We need your support to
make 2006 an extraordinary fundraising year so that others will have
the opportunity to pursue post secondary education. No contribution
is too large or too small.
Please make checks payable to the Regina Milio
Scholarship Fund and forward them to
